Subject: Request for intervention regarding denial of treatment to DGHS-empanelled senior citizens at Premadhar Ayurvedic Research Institute & Hospital
Respected Sir,
I, Suraj Parkash Manchanda, am a retired senior citizen duly empanelled under DGHS for treatment. Recently, I visited Premadhar Ayurvedic Research Institute and Hospital, Delhi, for my medical treatment. However, to my disappointment, the hospital administration refused to provide treatment, stating that the empanelment is valid only for CGHS employees and pensioners, and not applicable to DGHS-retirees.
This situation is extremely concerning, as DGHS-empanelled senior citizens like me are equally entitled to access healthcare facilities without discrimination. A hospital approved for CGHS pensioners and employees should, in principle, also extend services to DGHS retirees, especially in matters related to health and well-being of elderly citizens.
I humbly request you to kindly look into the matter and issue necessary directions to the concerned authorities and the hospital so that DGHS-empanelled retirees are permitted and facilitated for treatment at the said Ayurvedic institution. Ensuring uniformity in healthcare access will greatly benefit senior citizens dependent on government empanelment for medical support.
